In FY 08 and beginning of FY09 HFH Tajikistan have implemented ever first MFI partnership project. The pilot project with First Microfinance Bank Tajikistan has enabled 30 families improve their living condition as well as served as a ground to learn advantages and potential this initiative has and what capacities HFHT need to develop to be more effective in this much promising direction.

The pilot was successful and HFHT will scale up and turn into a longer-term project. In order to do this developing professional credit expertise and capability within organization is vital as this will be a ground to achieve long-term goals. One of the steps is a hiring of credit specialist. Also HFHT and FMFB work toward developing remittance linked innovative housing loan product that will open new opportunities for thousands of families to access new product and improve housing condition and quality of life.

Apart from FMFB partnership HFHT will seek for additional partnerships with other local and international MFIs in order to make best use of opportunities existing in the country and abroad and contribute to the long term goals of HFH both in the national and regional level.
