FY13 First Quarter newsletter

We are proud to announce that we continued to exceed our expectations serving 3,404 families/individuals in the first quarter of FY13. It is almost 95% of our annual target number of families to be served. Also, Habitat Tajikistan expanded partnerships into new geographic areas throughout the country. HFH Tajikistan presents its annual report for FY 2012

Fiscal year 2012 became the most successful year in the history of HFH Tajikistan. The number of families that have been served through HFH Tajikistan’s projects has reached 4,525. The geographic coverage was expanded throughout FY12, now serving 3 regions such as Khatlon, DRD and Soghd, more than 20 districts, major cities and around 50 villages.  Most projects were implemented in rural areas to improve the living condition and livelihoods of rural people throughout the country.

On behalf of Habitat Tajikistan’s staff, volunteers and partner families we would like to Thank all of our donors for helping us making this year the most productive.

Habitat Tajikistan takes the opportunity to congratulate all its friends, partners and volunteers on happy ocasion of Navruz!

Navruz meaning “The New Day" is the name for our, Tajiks and Iranians New Year.  Navruz is awakening of spring and renewal, peace and friendship the great feast of love, kindness, youth and labor. Navruz is the statement of eternal life and boundless generosity of nature.
Celebrating Navruz, we should try throw from the heart and mind all hatred, longing, jealousy. It gives a person strength to the start of spring field work, on which depends the welfare of the year and gives him confidence in the future, the need for peace and tranquility. We must not lose light and heat from the sun, take it with all his being, finding peace, serenity and wisdom of nature.

May this NEW YEAR brings you all Good health, Spiritual and Material happiness, Peace, Prosperity and Success in All your endeavors.

Habitat for Humanity Tajikistan gets better prepared for Disaster Risk Reduction and Response

DUSHANBE, TAJIKISTAN (March 13, 2012) - Habitat for Humanity Tajikistan (HFH Tajikistan) with the support of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Response (DRR&R) consultant from Habitat for Humanity International Europe and Central Asia Office (HFHI ECA), Dr James Kennedy, have developed a Disaster Risk Reduction and Response program (DRR&R) strategy. This strategy has defined the basic principles, standards, and developmental and collaborative frameworks to be implemented by HFH Tajikistan in its disaster response program. Read more

 
   

Habitat for Humanity Tajikistan becomes finalist nominee in World Bank international competition

DUSHANBE, TAJIKISTAN (May 20, 2011) -  Habitat Tajikistan Reinforcement Technology was nominated a finalists in a World Bank international innovation competition. It was showcased at the World Reconstruction Conference  innovation Competition Forum, the first large]scale global conference focused on natural disaster  recovery and reconstruction, organized by the World Bank, Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) and the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR)in Geneva, Switzerland in May 10 - 13, 2011.
